Guided Hiking

For years, San Ysidro Ranch has provided guests with the opportunity to experience the Santa Barbara region and indulge in the stunning panoramic views of the Santa Ynez Mountains and Channel Islands. Our Concierge can arrange for a hiking adventure through the 17 miles of trails in the Santa Ynez foothills or up the coast at Refugio State Beach.

Butterfly Beach

Located only ten minutes from the Ranch, Butterfly Beach is one of the best local beaches to relax and enjoy the quiet sounds of the waves and experience the cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean.

Santa Barbara Museum of Art

Founded in 1941, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art is a unique museum, centrally located in downtown Santa Barbara, that features an eclectic collection of Asian, Contemporary, French and English 19th and early 20th Century Art.

Santa Barbara Mission

The Santa Barbara Mission is the tenth California mission founded by the Spanish Franciscans in 1786 and is today a monument to the cultural diversity of Santa Barbara's history.

Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens

With over 65 acres and over five miles of paths, the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens is a renowned garden that features an amazing collection of California flora with eight different habitats representing various regions throughout California, including redwood forests, oak and canyon woodlands, meadows and deserts.

Water Sports & Adventures

Santa Barbara Zoo

600 animals representing more than 180 species housed on 16 acres. The Santa Barbara Zoo is dedicated to the preservation, conservation, and enhancement of the natural world and its living treasures through education, research, and recreation.


The Lotusland estate is open to the public by advance reservation only, with walking tours that are 90 minutes to 2 hours long through the distinctive gardens of the historic estate of Madame Ganna Walska.
