STONEHOUSE

A blend of organic inspiration and culinary artistry.

Located in a 19th century citrus packing house, the Stonehouse features a relaxing lounge with full bar service and a separate dining room with crackling fireplace and creek side views. Guests can dine under the romantic gaze of twinkle lights covering the ocean view terrace, with a wood-burning fireplace and heated stone flooring to provide year-round comfort. The Stonehouse regional cuisine is prepared with a seasonal palate of herbs and vegetables harvested from the on-site organic chef's garden.

PLOW & ANGEL

Cozy ambiance, award winning food.

Enjoy evenings in the Plow & Angel, with a cozy and convivial ambiance enhanced only by the most delicious comfort food. Sip a Ranch specialty blood orange margarita, with the famous mac and cheese or melt-in-your-mouth ribs while dining under stained-glass windows and original artwork, including the homage to the property namesake, Saint Isidore, hanging above the fireplace.

Plow & Angel does not accept reservations, and invites guests on first come, first served basis.

CHEF MATT JOHNSON

Matt Johnson, a California native, grew up in a family who worked in the Santa Barbara wine industry which instilled in him a love and passion for the flavors of Southern California. After graduating top of his class from the Santa Barbara School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, Matt embarked on a gastronomic tour of Europe, working and cooking alongside the top chefs of Europe.

This trip culminated in Matt showcasing at the Masters of Food and Wine. After working at the famed Windows on the Water, the Summerwood Winery and Inn, and Inn at Spanish Bay, Matt joined the elite team at San Ysidro Ranch in 2008. Matt's aesthetic combines sophistication and elegance with warmth and comfort, often featuring produce from the Ranch's organic garden.

In 2014, Matt was given the honor of crafting a five course dinner at The James Beard House featuring the Meyer Lemons grown here on the grounds of the San Ysidro Ranch.
